About Beauchamp Farms
Welcome to Beauchamp Farms and thank you for visiting our website! Established in 2015, Beauchamp Farms realizes the dreams of two dedicated farmers, Mary and Tim Ganous. They have over twenty years of previous urban farming experience, focusing on growing heirloom vegetables and herbs using organic practices.
Beauchamp Farms is a biodiverse farming enterprise situated on two large acreage sites in Mineral,Virginia. We lovingly raise grass-fed and grass-finished heritage breeds for meat and breeding -- the delicious Irish Dexter beef cattle and two different heritage breeds of Caribbean hair sheep. As committed breeders of heritage animals, we help conserve and promote rare breeds that strengthen the diversity of the bovine and ovine gene pools. We are grateful to have been welcomed into the local Virginia agricultural community and have found the willingness to share information and help each other out when needed to be a rewarding benefit of farm life.
We also grow a tasty assortment of produce grown from the hearty seeds of rarely seen heirloom varieties and have limited seasonal offerings of old-fashioned cut flowers such as viburnum, hydrangeas and peonies. The massive sizes of our flower heads makes for stunning bouquets and centerpieces.
At Beauchamp Farms our goal is to produce high quality products while respecting the land and our customers. Following time-honored organic farming practices, we nurture our cattle, sheep, produce, and flowers, providing them with the best environment in which to grow and thrive.
